About Siddha Yoga

Siddha Yoga is a spiritual path that cultivates discipline, mastery of the mind and the senses through spiritual teachings and practices. It is also a way bathed in grace. The study and practice of Siddha Yoga is guided by a Meditation Master,  Gurumayi Chidvilasananda. A spiritual guide to the path of Siddha Yoga, Gurumayi teaches his students to live in the awareness of the Inner Self, which allows them to transform and also transform the world in which they live.

The practice of Siddha Yoga begins with the spiritual initiation called shaktipat diksha. It is the grace of the Master, associated with a regular effort of the student, which leads him to become aware of the presence of the divine in himself and in all his environment.

The path of Siddha Yoga is accessible, stimulating and perfectly suited to the challenges and events of modern life. Through study and practice, students integrate the teachings of Siddha Yoga and spiritual practices into the very fabric of their daily lives.

The philanthropic work of Siddha Yoga, created by Gurumayi, includes the PRASAD organization and the Muktabodha Indological Research Institute.

The PRASAD organization organizes health, education and sustainable development programs for the benefit of poor children, families and communities. The Muktabodha Indological Research Institute works to preserve Indian scriptures and ancient Vedic traditions.

The SYDA Foundation is the organization that protects, preserves and promotes the dissemination of the teachings of Siddha Yoga.
