Spiritual awakening, or\u00a0shaktipat<\/em>, is at the heart of the mystical journey.\u00a0This transmission of energy from Master to spiritual seeker causes in the latter the awakening of his own spiritual energy, called\u00a0kundalini<\/em>.\u00a0Shaktipat<\/em>\u00a0is described in yogic texts as an initiation which operates an inner opening of consciousness, a process which then leads to ever higher states of consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time, through the combined play of grace and our spiritual practice efforts, the feeling of being separated from the divine disappears. We come to recognize the presence of God in ourselves and in the world around us. The universe appears to us as the play of divine energy. We celebrate initiation day because it is the most magnificent gift a spiritual seeker can receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
